And I obviously can’t hear the sound cues, either.
MARKIPLIER OUTLAST 2 WINDOWS
Granted, I am sitting in a shop with giant floor-to-ceiling windows currently flooded with cold, wintry sunshine. All I want to see is the game, which isn’t as scary as I was hoping it would be when he starts playing.

I’m not paying attention to him, mainly because. He goes by the name Markiplier, or Mark (according to the comments). When the video loads, I’m greeted by a flickering menu and a small square up in the corner of a young man with dark, gravity-defying hair, and bright brown eyes behind a pair of glasses. I guess using a computer with no speakers has a surprising perk or two. Not that it really matters about the commentary, anyways. Despite not being too fond of videos with commentary (because the people on this website are freaking annoying), I choose the first link. Unfortunately, I’m way too invested by this point to find something else to watch. With a very unique point-and-click style of game-play, and a fascinating story dotted with a memorable, haunting cast, it’s not hard to understand the hype. Apparently, it’s one of the most popular games being uploaded onto Youtube right now. I squint closer at the screen, through some of the teaser images and a review or three from other players. I’ve landed on a page with over a dozen videos for this new horror game called Five Nights at Freddy’s. I’m browsing links and clicking on other tempting links and, suddenly, I’m rather far away from my usual neighborhood of channels and slightly concerned with where I ended up. Something inexplicable possesses me to look for a new kind of walk-through, though. Again, it’s been around for a while (fifteen years, maybe), but it’s been one of my favorites since I was a little kid. One particular channel I like to watch has a few of the older Legend of Zelda titles uploaded, and those are always entertaining. I’m looking for video game walk-throughs that aren’t real heavy on user commentary. Or stare at the blank walls and think about how I’m wasting my life away at twenty-five years old (which isn’t really high on my list of priorities, thank you very much). But there is definitely nothing else to do, except rearrange the shelves that I’ve done about a dozen times already this morning. Especially when the cumbersome monitor doesn’t have any built-in speakers. I’m sitting in my chair at the counter, bored, and going onto Youtube on the ancient computer by the register is a pretty desperate venture. I can go at least an hour or two without seeing a single person drive by the parking lot sometimes. We’re always busy during the summer when everyone comes down for their vacations, but during the winter months. My shifts tend to be ten hours long, at a small tourist-y type shop balanced along the windy ocean coast and the fringes of absolute nowhere. I had to try them all.Īnd this is how it begins: with me, my stupid, pointless obsession, and being bored enough at work to wander onto Youtube. Horror books and comics, movies and video games. I needed everything that I could get my greedy little hands on, and I loved it.
MARKIPLIER OUTLAST 2 SKIN
For whatever weird reason, I grew up craving that burst of excitement, that sudden spike of adrenaline whenever something creepy made my skin crawl, or if I thought something unseen was lurking in the closet or sneaking up behind me. In fact, when I was younger (and in my early twenties) I often went searching for things to scare me. I still wake up believing that none of this is real. It’s sick, and it’s violent, and it’s awful, and I still wake up with their ghosts in my head and their hands tightening around my throat.

You deserve to know how those kids died, because they were probably your sons or daughters, your brothers or sisters, your husbands or wives. You guys deserve to know the whole story. I wouldn’t still be here, otherwise.īut I’m not going to start there.
MARKIPLIER OUTLAST 2 HOW TO
I know how to pretend that everything will be fine. I know how to pretend that everything is fine. I know how to survive around anxiety attacks. I know that I’m responsible, and that’s something I’m just going to have to live with for the rest of my life. If he could, I know that Mark would certainly beg to differ, but it’s still true. THIS STORY CONTAINS MATURE & GRAPHIC CONTENT.įor the record, I’d like to say that this, everything that’s happened over the last. I feel like it detracts less from the actual story that way. After this part, all of my notes will be at the bottom of the chapters. I'm only going to post a warning once, at the top of this introduction. So! I hope you all enjoy this new version, and thank you very, very much for checking it out! Eventually, I'll take down my first copy after I've fully caught up. Hey, guys! I have returned to the land of the living! I thought that posting a new story with the revised parts would be the easiest thing to do.
