Made an appointment at Pompano who had loaners available, I was greeted immediately and by name just when I pulled up (it’s a small thing but makes a big difference), was taken right to an agent, quick amazing service from everyone including Hayden who took care of me. Drove it off, auto stop still didn’t work and a week later dash did the same thing. Took my car to Delray because my electronic dashboard kept cutting off while I was driving and auto stop didn’t work, kept it 2 days, they had no loaners for 2 weeks, returned it to me told me everything was fine nothing was wrong. This is by far the best Mercedes-Benz dealership between the Palm Beaches and Broward! I always go to Delray, which is where I leased my Mercedes and continually receive poor service. NIGHTMARE! She asked Andrew to text Bradley and find it. Told Anja about my conversation regarding the rebate and she asked me to show it to her (what?!) How am I suppose to know where to find it? I told her Bradley told me about it, so she should be able to find it. So today’s 8/7, I showed up for my scheduled appt and Brad was off, so I was set up with Anja. Came in for my scheduled appointment with Bradley, asked him prior to paying if there were any incentives and he advised on Saturday 8/7, if you buy 4 tires you get the alignment for free. Jeff confirmed he had the tires in stock and would reserve them, coordinated with Bradley the Asst Service Mgr to make an appt to get them put on July 31.

Service is AWFUL! Called the parts department ahead of time and spoke with Jeff to make sure they had the tires in stock that I wanted to purchase - Continental ContiSport5. Bottom-line…We expected better from a Mercedes dealer - but we love our car.

They detailed it and gave us a full tank of gas, and the sales rep, although fairly new, was nice, polite and professional - she just had poor outdated systems to work with. Four hours to buy a car that you had previously selected, had an appointment and were not negotiating anything difficult. Just like the old days, the sales rep would disappear into the office for long periods of time…and remember…this is a “price on the window, no negotiation” dealership.

Systems seem outdated, with a lot of manual entry and duplication. My impression, the dealership is poorly run and I blame management, not the sales reps. On a positive note, we love our new car (a late model BMW X5 that was traded in for a new Benz) and the price was better than we could find elsewhere but the experience was tiring and reminded us of buying a car 10 or 20 years ago. It was a week day afternoon and the dealership was not busy. In total, despite calling ahead, picking out our vehicle ahead of time and providing personal information, the transaction took four hours. When we did arrive, on time, they could not locate the vehicle and when they did, the battery was dead. We selected and reserved our vehicle online and made an appointment a head of time before arriving. For a large Mercedes dealer, we were not impressed. Great cars, great price but expected to give up four hours of your life. When you have that many options, do you want to take a chance with the Pompano dealership that lacks the basics? But it begs the question - Do you want to be associated with an organization/group/culture that lacks basic ethics and morals? Even if you land up buying a car from there, do you think they care to support you going forward? Do you really want to take a chance when basic human values of respect, integrity and honesty are missing? Remember, Mercedes Benz has a reputation that has even built on strong foundations over decades. Given the airtight nature of the issue, I am sure it will be sorted out in a week.

I was hoping I did not have to - but I did call my lawyer. It’s the basic value and morals that this institution and a few of their staff (don’t know about the rest) lack that is of concern. The amount in question is not the concern. They have been giving me the run around on money they owe me as refund for my car for the last 2.5 months. While many car dealers are interested ONLY in selling whatever they can to you (Which is typical), MB of pompano take it to a whole different level. The MB of Pompano take that to a new level. We all know the age -old reference to “used car salesman”. But this is one that I thought the world needs to know.
